The Drexelbrook Catering & Special Event CenterВ team spent aВ warm Saturday in July at the Brandywine Manor House, catering the celebration of Betsy & Cameron’s wedding.
It was obvious that the bride and groom had a hand in every last detail of their bigВ day, from the creativeВ programs all the way to the fun mason jar favors handed out to guests.
Our expert staff created the perfect menu to match this couple’sВ originality. The food was also quite refreshing on such a hot summer’s day!
Butlered hors d’oeuvres included Asparagus Maki Rolls with GrilledВ Shiitake Mushrooms and Soy Aioli, Cheesesteak Spring Rolls, and Fennel-Crusted Tuna with Summer Green Apples and Pomegranate. We even came up with the idea of serving upВ little BLTs on a skewer!
AsВ the guests filed into the reception hall, they were greeted by a homemade display of customizable mason jars. Each jar had the name of a guest tied around the mouth, along with their seating assignment. What a creative way to help guests find their tables!
Dinner was served station-style so that guests had the opportunity to sample all of the delicious food prepared by Drexelbrook’s talentedВ chefs.
The stations were overflowing with meals to satisfy every craving: our award-winning Gluten-Free Crab Cakes were served up at the Seafood Station, followed by a Four Cheese Mac & Cheese Station to bring out the kid in everyone.
For the meat-lovers, our Carving StationВ offered Slow-Braised Boneless Short Ribs simmered in Red Zinfandel, Fresh Herbs, & Shallots, topped with a Victory Brewing Company “Summer Love” Reduction. Yum!
When it was time for dessert, guests didn’t have to settle for just wedding cake. We had a beautiful display of Fresh-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies, served with a shot of Ice Cold Milk. What a way to end such a fabulous evening!
