Also consider whether the existing lighting in your basement is sufficient.

Step 2 – Preparation

After fully considering the basement, you will be in a position to plan your design. If necessary, draw a plan of the existing room and add the fixtures and fittings which you you will install to determine whether it will all fit. At this stage, you can make decisions about all sundry items that you want for your basement bar, such as a pool table, to ensure that it will all fit.

Gather all the tools and equipment required to undertake the task before starting. Connect all of the required amenities and extending pipes where necessary so that they reach the necessary position.

If you want to enhance the look of your basement bar, then devise an interior decoration scheme. Whether you are hanging wallpaper or painting, begin this process so that you do not damage any floor coverings.

Once the walls and ceiling are complete and dry, lay the floor covering. Undertaking any decoration which is required will prevent the potential damage to furniture and reduce the need to move items about.

Step 4 – Fit Furnishings

If you have limited space, stick to items that can be used for multiple purposes such as a bench and a side table. You will also be able to add any theme that you want by choosing items to match it. For example, a rustic looking bar is easily achieved with the right furnishings.

Step 5 – Finishing Touches

Once everything is in place, you will be in a better position to determine what accessories you need to make the bar more comfortable.
